Season six of The Beverly Hillbillies commenced on September 14, 1966, with the episode titled "The Party Line." Left back in Beverly Hills while Jed and Jethro are visiting their Ozark kinfolk, Granny is forced to endure Elly May's wretched cooking. Making matters worse, Granny yearns for the days when she used to spend up to ten hours yakking with her friends on the party-line phone.
