Synopsis of Black Days
Ty (S. Greg Gardner) is a cynical self-styled hipster and would-be comic-book artist who is currently making ends meet as a parking lot attendant. One day, he meets Gwen (Shiva Rose), an attractive, intelligent, and witty woman who seems to be just the sort of woman Ty has been wanting to meet. Ty and Gwen are immediately attracted to each other, and Ty soon finds himself romantically involved, even though Gwen has a mysterious side that puzzles him and a few secrets she isn't willing to share. In time, Ty discovers that Gwen has a past, and it's not just sordid, it's dangerous and criminal; he has to decide if he can ignore her violent history, which threatens to become an issue when Gwen's former boyfriend returns to the picture. Black Days was the first feature film from the writing and directing team of Ari Margolis and James Morley III; it received its world premiere at the 2001 Slamdance Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
