I grew up on the original series so I was surprised that I hadn't seen this movie. I kind of wish that was still true. What's good for a 20 minute cartoon just doesn't work for a feature-length movie. Most of the characters were their normal self, but Daughter Judy was over the top--and that's significant because she is already pushing the limits. I have three girls and I was embarrassed at how promiscuous and boy-crazy Judy was. Moreover, they tried to stretch the movie with lame songs. I mean really lame, not like "Eep Opp Ork Ah Ah." I didn't hate the movie, but it was really close.

Not the best movie for a 39-year-old who had the pleasure of viewing the great series as a child on TV. But my 5-year-old had nothing to compare it to and was held by his first futuristic animation movie. There were 2 small scratches (1 during Spacely's board meeting in the beginning and 1 during closing credits) but they were not enough to ruin storyline for me. I did not report the damage because I did not want BBonline to send me another one as they automatically do. Not impressed with new voice of Judy.

When I checked out the "Astro Boy" movie, I was impressed! I'm looking for the same quality for (when) the future "Gigantor" movie comes out someday. This DVD "Jetsons" doesn't come close! Even after 10 minutes the DVD froze on my Sony DVD player, I was grateful! The "Flinstone" movies are better and that still is a "Hanna Barbana" movie too! Jetsons movie lacks in all ways a movie could be awful! Plot, animation and nothing improved except for shading and smog! This movie is mindless and children lose interest and that again is bad! Enough said and a warning - rent something else and (hopefully) any other movie will be better! Good Health and PEACE!
