It starts out as a full blown comedy and then proceeds into horror, but still with enough laughs mixed in to keep "non-horror" fans interested. Not overly gory, but with enough gruesomeness to keep interest. The dialogue is hilarious, and the characters are well written even if the story isn't groundbreaking. The version I saw was dubbed in English, but it even had an option to view the movie with "Engrish" subtitles. That alone makes this movie worth watching. It's fantastic, give it a shot.

I can't believe nobodies reviewed this movie. Everyone I know has seen it. Then again, that was a freak accident. This movie is so funny. Partly b/c of the story itself, partly b/c of the characters, partly b/c of the acting, and partly b/c of the absolutely dreadful job that was done when subtitling the movie. Seriously. Have you ever seen an anime where parts of the story were clearly lost in translation? This translation is worse. The subtitles make no sense, and it's glorious.
