With a single, basic plot theme, this well-wrought drama of ultimate tragedy engages the viewer and gives pause for reflection. The tale focuses on the marriage of a man who is dominated and controlled by his own egoistic needs and illusions. The effect his personality disorder has on the marriage, on himself, and on his wife is what sustains attention throughout the 109-minute running time. Director Vladimir Pogacic has done an excellent job with the material. This film was an entry at the 1959 Pula Film Festival. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
