Original German production with English voice over done very well. Story is one unfamiliar in the USA and very engaging for children--though in the tradition of Bros Grimm with some scary parts, a moral & a happy ending.

This movie is narrated in english but the dialogue is in german. There is a screen at the beginning to choose in which language you would like to watch the film but we have to assume they only meant the narration.
