This film is one of a six-part series that showcases the technological achievements that have defined the modern age. No invention has had a greater impact on modern society than that of electricity. But just 100 years ago, houses lit by electricity were an anomaly, and the debate raged between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison about the virtues of alternating current as opposed to direct current.
