    I watched both the movie and the extra footage. I never thought about the life of a hustler before. It was certainly eye opening, very sad in most respects. It makes me want to do something to save someone from that fate.

    The description is inaccurate. This is not a broad segment. This is mostly the low-end of the male street hussler scale. And, it's a from the year 2000. (Many people with better means on both sides of the coin go through an escort service or internet chats/venues.) So, what you get in this film is mostly the desperate Santa Monica Blvd husslers with no internet access and living in the margins. Not shown here are the less banged-up, professional and recreational husslers. Some high schoolers hussle Sta. Monica Blvd for fun and quick cash (guys I've known from places like Torrance and Hawthorne with normal families.) This film is real for what it is. But, it is a very narrow segment of reality.
