National Geographic: Antarctic Wildlife Adventure (1991)
Member Rating:
Visit Antarctica, the most remote and starkly beautiful continent on earth. Join a husband-and-wife naturalist team and their three sons aboard a 50-foot schooner as they journey through the islands around the tip of the continent. These seasoned explorers study the bustling penguin colonies to gauge the general environmental health of the peninsula. Ironically, the film reveals that scientists are the primary threat to Antarctica's ecology. Despite the problems that humans cause, the landscape for the most part is pristine and wild. The camera captures the rocky coasts, azure blue seas, and towering icebergs that create a striking home for a wide variety of wildlife. From the deck of the boat, see humpback whales perform an underwater ballet. There is ample footage of three species of penguins and of young elephant seals at play. The video runs approximately 60 minutes. ~ Gayla Mills, Rovi

If more of the world's citizens could witness the real devastation occurring in our world which is leading to the extinction of beautiful wildlife, hopefully we would would be more proactive collectively to save the world's dwindling wildlife.
