This documentary, D-Day: The True Glory is the culmination of ten million feet of film, shot by 1,400 different cameramen from 12 countries, edited down to one feature-length presentation, opening with Dwight D. Eisenhower giving a vigorous prologue to this Academy award-winning portrayal of D-Day. The principal narrative is punctuated with the voices of actual servicemen who give their own accounts of events both major and minor. Each step of the Allies' progress is shown, from the beach at Normandy to the Battle of the Bulge and the conquest of Germany.
