This is thoroughly realized production. The sets and costumes are lavish and often stunning. However, I did find some of the staging choices questionable or even inexplicable, but that did not detract from my overall enjoyment of this opera. The entire cast performs well. The two leads, Antonio Ordonez as Des Grieux and Miriam Gaucio as Manon Lescaut, give exceptionable performances. This DVD is real pleasure.
