This video is another release from The Baby Einstein Company, a group that is dedicated to introducing cultural concepts to infants and very small children. Real-world toys and art are superimposed over sharp black-and-white backgrounds, then set to the strains of classical music, assisting parents or caregivers in teaching the baby about the images and concepts included on the video. Baby Bach introduces the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, the late 17th century composer whose works are often considered to be the most complex and mathematical ever written.     The only reason I've given it even one star is because the music is pretty good. I guess if you just wanted the TV on in the background for some reason, you'd hear some good music. But this did not keep anyone's interest in our family. My children all left the room within five minutes. It would be much better to play a CD on your CD player and actually PLAY with your child. Don't waste your baby's time. Or yours.

    Our toddler has seen several of the Baby Einstein, but this one is the worst. Most of these Baby Einstein videos are slow moving and melodic and seem to have some hint of wonder and educational value planned and built into the film. Again, NOT THIS ONE! We couldn't even sit through it....it was more like a toy commercial for FAO Schwarz than an educational video! Most of these Baby Einstein videos have a theme and demonstrate things throughout the film that go along with that theme, but not this one! Our child normally sits down and is a joy during a film meant to spark his interest, but I do not blame him one bit when after just a few minutes of this film my child LEFT THE ROOM! No kidding, it is that bad! It would show a toy or a musical instrument - doing NOTHING! You would think that a Baby Bach film would show instruments and how they sound and are played, but NOPE! I highly recommend that you pass this one by; your child deserves better.
