Not to be confused with the polished and serious Korean remake of the story "Black House", this Japanese version is less serious and more darkly hysterical. In fact, this movie had all the seriousness and "terror" of a 1990's "Godzilla" movie. Don't expect this movie to provide any scares either. And it is not a black comedy so don't expect to laugh. However, if you hadn't heard of the story before, the story should keep you in suspense until the unexpected reveal. The acting and directing were good. The 5.1 audio option made minor use of surround sound. As for extras, there's three trailers for the movie and trailers for four other movies. Lightly recommended.

We found this movie to be extremely boring with tedious sections about the insurance business. When the action finally started happening, it was just plain silly.
