This is the best Cadfael. If you like British Mysteries you should like this series. It takes place in the Dark Ages which makes it unique and interesting.

In my opinion, not the most engaging Cadfael story, but still far more interesting than most of commercial television or Hollywood. And a bit faster paced than most Cadfael.

Very good story and very good acting but the movie setting needed a bit more detail. My husband noticed that it was very cold out, with snow and ice in the scene, but the actors were talking to each other without their breath showing.
