A blend of drama and action. Karen Young & Peter MacNicol give good supporting performances. Tame compared to the action films today but overall a good movie. If you're a Burt Reynolds fan then check it out.

This is what is called a 'gem'. I'd put this with Carpenter's 'Prince of Darkness' It has something special, maybe a combination of things. Really a great movie that critics and lots of people won't like. Gambling, horror visuals, action & interesting characters. What is not to like. Not a romance! A great movie & one of Reynolds top movies. Easily one of the best gambling movies. Disagree with any critic who says this is uneven, think this is what i'd call a very " even" flick.
