A bunch of generally unlikeable, amoral characters, except James Caan's somewhat likeable aging hit man, populate a story which seems set in a different world. The gunplay is creative and thoughtful (!) and the plot will sometimes make you squirm. Not just for its violence.

Lots of gun battles and good story to keep you interested.

Great acting by the 3 leads, intruiging story with surprising twists.... low level career criminals that sink to previously unthinkable psychopathic depths of depravitity .... then match that with heroic loyalty and committment to their own code of ethics. Who would have guessed that Ryan Phillippe could match Benicio Del Toro as a deadly scary bad dude???
