Three Cardassian underground freedom fighters are given shelter on DS9. One of the three is Professor Natima Lang (Mary Crosby), the former love of Quark's life. All hopes of rekindling their romance seem foredoomed by Natima's devotion to her cause and by the presence of Cardassian Garak (Andrew Robinson), who intends to kill all three insurrectionists.
