This movie was about an autistic woman who's brother becomes tired of "dealing" with her. After a miracle surgical procedure it follows the "Flowers for Algernon" formula. The movie focused on the relationships that family members dealing with autism have to face. I must say that it is a merginal protrail of people who come into contact with autism and how they cope with it. It has its funny moments and may be worth watching if you enjoyed "The Other Sister" or the 1989-1993 airings of the ABC TV show "Life Goes On".

This movie is well worth watching. the acting by Elasabeth Shue as the autistic girl is excellent and the transitions form one state to another are convincing. The development from indifference to compassion of her brother (Aeron Eckhart) is endearing.

A really good movie. A good family flick, and one that keeps your attention via the plot, instead of dynamite, aliens, demise of the human race or ideals. Very sensitive, well written movie.
