This is A1 film...I have seen it couple of times and enjoy every bit of it. A must see for Sci-Fic fans.

The premise is a good one, and the special effects/set design I'm sure were great for their day, and even hold up well today. The first and last parts of the movie are exciting and suspenseful. However, the middle section sags and is very slow, even boring. If the middle section had tighter editing (especially the part where they're going down the levels in the station getting clean and detoxified) I think this would be a much better movie. The extras about how they made the movie was interesting. Douglas Trumbull did the effects (same guy as 2001: A Space Odyssey).

Intelligent biological thriller. Tense ending, cool sets for 1970, great character actors. I really enjoyed this film after seeing it again twenty seven years later, still kept me intrigued even after having read the book.
