Beautiful movie, beautiful costumes and sets, very well acted by the players. Even the little boy who played Arthur did very well. It's strange to see today how a rumor, or idle gossip could completely ruin not only a persons reputation, but their whole life. This movie makes you feel for Hannah, and Arthur, and opens your eyes to a truely trapped situation, that many women faced back then.
