Young Billy is preparing for a strange summer with his eccentric, toymaker father on the island of Catalina when he makes two very special friends. One is a wily girl named Emma who is around his age, but the other is a very unusual dog named Sherlock. Sherlock claims to be a police dog-he actually talks!
