A good view of the Japanese in Hiroshima, as well as that of the importance of family. No "fluff", though full of heart. Certainly not an American kiddy flick. Folks die horribly, including main characters. A good "war" flick. Some folks will not be happy that not all the Japanese are portrayed as "Crazy Japs" but as normal folks in a bad situation their gov't lead them into.... PTD

This movie is amazing. It really is the most insainly realistic anime ever. Brutally honest and true to the fact. I recomend this movie to anyone period doesnt matter what your into. I rate tough and I give it a total 5! It does have subtitles but that truely shouldnt sway you.

This is a wonderful film and an even better story. It is slow but such is life and thats what this story is about. I even got a little misty. Also a good WWII story from the opposite perspective.
