Providence was a wonderful series; good stories, scripts, acting, etc. It's a real shame that the producers decided to release the series as a "collection" as opposed to releasing it as it should have been, by Season. (ex: season 1, discs 1 thru 4, Season 2, etc). Character development and the growing/changing relationships between the characters, over the life of the whole series, is an integral part of what made Providence special. Trying to watch 14 "random" episodes, in no particular order just DOES NOT WORK. It does not do the series any justice and is a real disappointment. Please release this series IN ORDER, please, please.... 5 Stars for the real show, 0 stars for this release, that's why I did 2.5 stars.

While the "best of" is nice, a full collection is certainly warranted here. Providence was a terrific series and I remain a fan who would buy every piece of the set!

for old "providence" fans, enjoy reliving the show by renting this DVD. I wish they had more available to watch
