The only bad thing about this movie was the English translation of the title. The actors were incredible and the French dialog superb. For those with a lack of knowledge of French language and culture, the movie may drag and not be as humorous, but should be enjoyable all the same. I strongly recommend watching this movie more than once to capture all the subtleties(sp?). Un film genial!

I travel to France a few times a year..where my 'better half' teaches English. I always enjoy the creativity of the screenwriters and actors of French Films..and 'Toute Une Vie'..was amazing. At first it was a little confusing..and near the end..there was a segment of an idyllic paradise which was unneccessary..and sort of broke up the smooth flow. If you do not mind subtitles.. and I am not 100% fluent in French..this film will make you happy and at times nostalgic..and it is wonderful

Typical Lelouch saga, could easily be one hour shorter and much more enjoyable !
