I rented this movie on a whim and my expectations were not at all very high, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it! The acting was great and I felt like I was pulled into the emotion of the story. I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys good period drama.

This is a wonderful film that touches all of the emotions. Well acted with lucious cinematography of the Irish countryside. I found that the film went by quicker than the 3+ hours indicated; my wife and I watched it in one sitting. I highly recommend this film. If you like period romances, you'll thoroughly enjoy this movie.

This is a well done story encompassing the adult years of a young woman facing the consequences of an unwed pregnancy, marriage to a stranger who will take her and her unborn child in, becoming mother to his already established family and dealing with the realm of emotions involved in a life without romantic love. The movie moved quickly and I anxiously watched the mail for the 2nd DVD arrive to view the second half.
