how about music that I can actually play. Frank Gambale is so incredible that he is in a class all by himself, but this was too technical for me. This DVD would have been excellent if the lines that FG was playing would be transcribed and included in a booklet.

Frank does a great job here! The video is thorough and is very informative. Not for the beginning player though. Frank's off-the-wall sense of humor is really great. Also noteworthy are the extras! A live performance by Allan Holdsworth and one by Joe Pass - both are EXCELLENT!!!! Frank also sings & plays "Faster Than An Arrow" at the end, as well as a couple of other favorites. Well worth the rental! Best explanation of the modes I've seen in 25 years of playing & teaching.
