The translation of the name is more like "gray flower". The description is also not accurate. Before the historic time when Macau would be transferred to under China control, all of the gansters / corrupted cops are fighting out and settling scores and all that. Think of it this way! Lau Ching-Wan, Tony Leung are probably two of the best male actors from hk cinema after Chow Yat Fat, and this film is about them dueling each other in acting and chemistry and intensity. Take that.

Lau Ching-Wan, once charming, gets more wooden with every performance. The action is stylized into incoherence, the energy level is snailish. What can I say? A waste of perfectly good broken glass.
