Of the Dead (1979)

Of the Dead (1979)
Member Rating:
This documentary is an explicit look at the autopsy process, with footage of actual autopsies and embalming procedures. The word "autopsy" derives from the word Greek "autopsia", and means literally "seeing with one's own eyes". Ancillary benefits include the information that can be learned, such as incorrect diagnosis or mistakes in treatment. The film details the methodical way in which an autopsy of the exterior and interior body is performed. This documentary is not for the squeamish. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, Rovi

I know that taste is incredibly subjective, which is why I didn't listen to the other reviews. Sometimes things are objectively bad, and this would be the case with Of the Dead. I'm in school to be a mortician so I thought it could be mildly interesting even if there were just a few pieces that were interesting. Nope. The filming made no sense, it was scattered all over the place with zero tie in; random images or scenes tossed in one clip. I highly advise against this "crapumentary."

The editing of this video was very bad. There wasn't much autopsy footage in it. Don't bother.

This movie was not worth the wait. Actually could not wait for it to end. Terrible footage.
