Member Rating:
Directed by Gregory Hoblit (Primal Fear), Fallen is a blend of the police drama and supernatural thriller genres. Homicide detective John Hobbes (Denzel Washington) narrates, taking the audience back to "the time I almost died." This sets a flashback in motion, beginning at the prison cell of serial killer Edgar Reese (Elias Koteas), who grabs Hobbes' hand and sings the Rolling Stones' "Time Is on My Side." After Reese is executed, Hobbes and his partner, Jonesy (John Goodman), find a seeming copycat killer, committing murders in a manner not unlike Reese. Hobbes is drawn into the occult after he meets theology professor Gretta Milano (Embeth Davidtz), the daughter of a dead police officer. Hobbes becomes a suspect himself, but he continues his search for the truth. Co-producer Dawn Steel died just as this film was due for release. ~ Bhob Stewart, Rovi

I stumbled across this movie by accident and was riveted. I found it haunting and chilling and impossible to forget. How many movies can you say that about? Whenever I come across it, I can't stop myself from watching again. Always hoping this time, maybe it'll be different. A hidden gem!

Its rare that you find a movie, such an amazing movie that leaves you about scared out of your wits and wanting more. What an amazing story, I stumbled upon this movie by doing a search of the actor Denzel Washington, he has such an impressive resume`. I love movies that make you think and act as though you are a detective in the movie trying to figure things out . This movie is no exeption, but every time you felt you had an understanding the plot would twist in a different direction. Its a great change from all the new junk out just trying to gross you out by seeing how much blood and gore they can stuff in a movie. I will be watching this one again, I found my heart pounding for most of the movie. This is a must-see movie!
