I've watched this several times, each time I realize deeper meanings in the exact words and phrases she uses, inspiring me to read some of her books. Rand's philosophy is a powerful tool to propel individuals to claim the right to their potential. The film could use more clips of her, and her own words. Her philosophy has profoundly affected modern civilization, I'm a bit shocked that I hadn't heard of her sooner. I don't agree with everything she says, but her words expand my ability for rational argument, and solution based thinking. At times Ayn Rand's convictions are so uncompromising as to seem antagonistic to those who don't understand how she arrived at such confidence. Her work might be off putting to those who are not up to the challenge of deeply exploring and contemplating the underlying meanings of life, and the long term effects of our choices. You can find her filmography through 'The Fountainhead'.

An interesting review of Rand's entire life. The only thing I didn't like is that it was very one sided. According to this documentary Ayn Rand lived a perfect life without any mistakes and was able to overcome all problems and adversity with ease. This is propaganda in favor of Ayn Rand just as much as Moore's 9/11 docudrama is propaganda against President Bush.

The are a few photos and few quotes and the clips from the film "Ideal" which was based on a novel by Ayn Rand that were good. These could have been offered as a bonus at the end the disc that is the actual documentary narrated by Sharon Gless. That would have been great. Instead, they made this whole seperate DVD - disc 1 - which was just unnecessary. A waste of time and money and the viewer's attention. Boo Hiss
