People writing these review must not like horror. Castle Freak is one of my favorite horrors out there. Jerry Combs, Stuart Gordon, and H. P. Lovecraft - Great combo, great horror.

Castle Freak is an HP Lovecraft re-creation that clocks in a pretty good showing for a Full Moon production. In 1995 (when this was filmed) the digital video craze that has, in my opinion, gone a long way in ruining low-budget horror was non-existent and this is a good thing. All of the acting is up-to-par with low-budget stuff, the story is good and the special effects and make-up work for the ‘freak’ looks cool. There’s not too much in the way of gore, which is fine because that expectation is never really set (although keep an eye out for the ‘nipple’ scene!). All in all this is good for a late night viewing especially if you’ve got a couple of beers in the tank.

Not sure why this is has the title of both movies when you only are getting DeathBed. Loved Castle Freak but not DeathBed. For one the sound track is off and only gave this a one star rating because of DeathBed. Very lame in many ways, not the best movie I have watched. Not sure why this was together with Castle Freak. Makes not sense to me at all.
