I remember waching this movie when it came out at the theater. As a kid I loved it, now my kids(2 and 5) love it. This movie was very entertaining for them and didn't scare them at all. Good halloween entertainment!

I remember watching Ernest commercials in South Carolina that coined the "famous" phrase "Hey! Verne". His wacky and stupid comedy is both entertaining and witty. Forget any off color jokes or sexual overtones like most "kid" movies these days. This movie is clean fun family entertainment. My two girls loved it and now daddy has the other Ernest movies in My Q. Remember now, there ain't no trees in Albania, I know, I'm an Albanian Lumberjack and I ain't never had a job. Classic!!!

From the reviews I thought this would be a perfect movie for my 7 yr old but I was surprised right at the start of the movie with a frightening scene of a little girl being chased through dark spooky woods and the townpeople burying something alive. The kids and Ernest were great but then an giant evil troll started chasing little chilren and turning them into statues. We shut the movie off before it ended. If you have kids who have nightmares maybe wait till they are a bit older to watch this.
