Member Rating:
Ideally tailored to the talents of Rodney Dangerfield, Easy Money casts Rapid Rodney as Monty Capoletti, the black sheep of a prominent family. Nothing can curb Monty's drinking, gluttony, gambling, smoking, or general carousing. Nothing, that is, except the possibility of inheriting millions from mother-in-law Mrs. Monahan (Geraldine Fitzgerald). For one whole year, Monty must toe the line and clean up his act. Can he do it? And will viewers laugh uproariously? The answer to the second question: Yes, they will! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

One of those movies you can watch over and over again and laugh your head off. One of Rodney's best (outside of Caddyshack of course). Interesting note about this DVD - they removed the dream sequence where Rodney is at a fight, finds himself getting beat up in the fight itself, and get offered a hot dog "on the house" amongst other things. Weird. Still a great flick nonetheless.

This is actually a quality movie- despite the fact that the promos and the presence of Dangerfield would lead one to believe that it would be one of those moronic comedies, like Animal House. Dangerfield was actually good in this! This was the perfect part for him. It is well-written, and the humor is both amusing and tasteful, all the way through. This movie is always a delight to watch, and never fails to lift spirits and make you smile. I could wish that there were 100 more movies like this one. Even if you normally don't like Rodney Dangerfield, you will like this movie. Joe Pesci, playing Dangerfield's friend, was superb. I can honestly say, as an Italian and ex-New Yorker, that the stereotypes in this movie are "right on"- and while anyone can enjoy the broad humor and the frustrations of Dangerfield's character, this movie holds even more delights and familiarity for NYers! -Truly an unappreciated masterpiece- and a joy to watch all the way through.

Classic Rodney! If you like Rodney's humor, you'll enjoy this film.Joe Pesci plays to form, and hangs in there toe-2-toe with Rodney in the laugh department! Not as good as Caddyshack, but a better platform for Dangerfield.....
