I thought this was a pretty good film (the first half that I saw). The story kept me guessing. The characters were multidimensional and well-developed. If you like whodunits like PD James, which has a gradual development of the plot then you might also appreciate this film. This film is more American and set in the 30s/40s, whereas PD James is British and set in current times. If you have no idea what PD James is or you did not like the film, you also may not like this film. I suggest CSI, Midsomer Murders, or one of the other primetime TV mysteries.

Wasted 4 hours of my life hoping against hope it would get better. The only saving grace was that Blockbuster does not have disc two to send out. I could care less who done it.
