    For Sondheim lovers and lovers of musical theater it is a must see! Not too many outsiders have the opportunity to glimpse a behind-scenes moment such as this. How many people know that Broadway albums are recorded a couple of days following the opening of a show? What made it so tough was that the performers had just spent 6 weeks of intense rehearsals, plus out of town tryouts and previews and then completely blow their lungs out on Opening night, only to have to repeat it a couple of days later for posterity on records. When Elaine Stritch is in tears because her voice is shot after an all night session and she feels she's let everyone down, I too found myself with tears. This is terrific. Enjoy!

    An interesting film that offers insight into the intense work--and joy!-- behind preparing a Broadway Show for "opening night." Certainly not the greatest documentary filmed but worth the time to watch it.

    As other reviewer mentioned, I **am** a Sondheim and a musical theater fan and I loved this opportunity to hear the whole show's music -- I saw it on Broadway. The only thing better would be if the show itself had been recorded!
