This turns out to be a Christian movie. I had no idea that slavery was such a big world business or how modern slaves were put into slavery! The story jumps around some and is not anyway, perfect, but anyone can see how things can go very bad for a person who is "poor"! I'd like to see this movie again after 2 months to see what I might have missed!
This movie was more than awful. The subject is selling children into slavery. This horrendous story must be told....and there are some good movies out there with a better script and much better acting. It actually made Christians seem like idiots. The stuff that came out of their mouths was so ridiculous, I was actually embarrassed for the actors. I know the powers that be wanted this to be an informative movie. But please don't make people of faith sound like complete fools. I should have watched the trailer clips,
This is a B movie with surprisingly bad acting and amateur direction. It's just done so badly. And the heavy Christian overtones makes it predictable, presumptuous and somehow also insulting. Stay away.
