20 year old Nathan (Bradley Dorsey) uses the loss of his job and break-up with his girlfriend as the motivators to find his biological mother, who gave him up shortly after birth before vanishing without a trace. Upon returning to his hometown, Nathan checks into a local hotel, where wise housekeeper Mave (Della Reese) offers some kind words of encouragement. Meanwhile, a chance encounter with another guest (Kristen Renton) reinforces Nathan's determination to succeed, and before long he's managed to track down his mother's address. Two decades after making the most painful decision of her life, Nathan's mother Linda (Erika Eleniak) still carries the guilt of giving him up for adoption. As she attempts to pay penance by convincing pregnant teen Tori (Erin Sossoman) not to get an abortion, Nathan returns into her life, in the process unearthing a painful secret that sheds new light on his reason for being. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Regardless of your position on abortion ,every high school male & female should see this movie. It may save a lot of misery, destroyed lives, and maybe save a life.
The story line was a real surprise at the end, and made a high impact statement. Not your usual movie of this genre. Most people will find something to appreciate about this. Worth the time.
The synopsis of this movie is a total lie. He isn't given up for adoption. He had been aborted. This is a Christian right movie that proselytizes about the sins of abortion and all of the characters in the "hotel" where Della Reese plays 'the maid" are actually aborted fetuses and what they would have become according to "God's plan" had they not been aborted. This is not entertainment.
Sherron R. obviously didn't understand the movie at all! When she say's it's A Christian Right movie about Abortion and God's Plan! She actually sounds angry, maybe she has had an abortion and the movie made her think about it! Is there a Christian LEFT?
