A playwright comes undone while falling in love with her leading man in this psychological drama from director Jay Anania (Day on Fire, Shadows and Lies). Josh Hamilton, Winona Ryder, and James Franco star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
I am usually open minded when it comes to artsy movies but this was just bad. A complete waste of time. Literally 5 mins into the movie, and we have no idea what is going on. Then it gets progressively worse and utterly confusing. I am doubtful that there was even a script, it just felt so nonchalant and off the cuff...and NOT in a good way or even intriguing way. We survived 30 mins and just could not even begin to follow the story, if there was one. We were in disbelief that major actors would be involved with such a lackluster and pointless production. The camera angles and audio were sophmoric at best. If you can sit through this movie and understand its point, if there is one, you deserve a medal.
We rented this movie in spite of the comments because usually Winona Ryder appears in weird but good movies. We were so disappointed! Save yourselves some money and time, all comments are pretty accurate, do not rent this movie!
For a Winona Ryder and James Franco movie, this was not what I had expected. It seemed under budget and off beat, I agree with the poster who said "will not be able to watch it for 10 mins", it was pretty bad.
