The 2008 U.S. presidential campaign shifts into high gear after Arizona senator John McCain (Ed Harris) picks Alaska governor Sarah Palin (Julianne Moore) to be his running mate in the general election against Barack Obama. Based on the book Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. ~ Joe Friedrich, Rovi
Another well done film from HBO. Moore and Harrelson are outstanding in this very entertaining movie based on the book. I did not vote for Sarah Palin nor do I agree with her politics most of the time, but I grew to like her as a person based on this portrayal. Moore's performance is right up there with Daniel Day Lewis as Lincoln.
Wow, Julianne Moore did an amazing job and deserved her Emmy and Golden Globe! Everyone should watch this cautionary tale of the need to win run amuck.
I'm with you, William M. Ed Harris and Julianne Moore did a remarkable job portraying John McCain and Sarah Palin. To me, the film wasn't heavy handed at all and didn't hold either one up to scorn. Relieved that the election ended up the way it did, however.
