I had never seen the TV series before and watched only the 1st Disc. It is just like watching "The Love Boat" except this is in a hotel instead of a cruise ship. Stories were OK but the best thing was being able to see the scenery of San Francisco. I'll not bother watching the remaining discs in this series. (I would much have rather watched the original movie "Hotel" that was based on Arthur Haley's book by that title. Too bad the original movie isn't available on DVD or VHS either. At least I have it taped off TV and that will have to be acceptable for now.)

I love this show, I just wish we had more shows like this on TV instead of all these so called Reality shows. Two words "Good TV"
