It should be illegal to release a video that has altered the original film image (pan and scan "fullscreen") to the extent that this film has! Many of these "bad movies" are not quite so bad when we can at least see what the heck is going on! Using my imagination to fill in the great amount of visual information that was simply cut off from the screen, the film actually seemed to be rather entertaining, although in a low-brow and meandering sort of way. Richard Pryor did an appealing job. I enjoyed the 70s music. Many scenes seemed to try for the type of humor seen in the (superior) Trinity western spoofs, released several years before. I would enjoy seeing the full screen image (Widescreen format) of this film, and am sorry that the only version I can find is this ridiculously shoddy transfer.
