This movie was well done. Both Foxx and Butler were great and worked well opposite each other. The movie plays out more like a horror movie with Butler's revenge taking the course more like a SAW movie then an action drama. I thought the sudden deaths and gruesome but well timed violence kept you on the edge of your seat. The movie had some predicable and not so predictable plot twists. The movie also attempts to delve deeper in to the meaning of justice and the moral danger of revenge. In hunting the monster, Butler himself becomes the monster. It also touches on the nobility of sticking to your values and the duality of compromise. In that it is both vital but dangerous if you stop caring about what you comprise on. A good film but as other reviews said not for children.

Really enjoyed this movie. Had you thinking about the justice system and the deals that are made. Revenge can be sweet, as well as taken too far. Marsha

This movie was not what I expected. There were some parts of the movie that were on the very morbid side. Not for people with a weak stomach.
