Ultimate Fighting Championship, Vol. 77: Hostile Territory features a night of mixed-martial arts action that includes bouts between Brandon Vera and Tim Sylvia, Eric Schafer and Stephan Bonnar, and a middleweight title tile pitting Anderson Silva against Rich Franklin. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi
Decent PPV event. The card starts off with a pretty good lightweight bout between Jason Black (who sports spectacular mutton chops) and Matt Grice. The second match, Josh Burkman and Forrest Petz is truly a gem on the undercard; Petz's use of the body shot is revolutionary in this one. The rest of the card is a mixed bag: Maia vs. Jensen and Robinson vs. Gurgel are both very entertaining groundfights, Stephan Bonnar's fight is decent and Kalib Starnes displays some actual heart in his last fight before becoming a marathon runner. The Okami and Silvia bouts are grindingly boring however. The main event is beautiful however. Total destruction by the Spider in a ballet of violence. Good UFC to rent, but not quite good enough to buy.
