The Master Control Program is booted back up in this revamped Tron continuation that sees the return of original star Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn, the brilliant computer programmer whose disappearance leads his son, Sam (Garrett Hedlund), to search for him in and out of the computer world. Original director and co-writer Steven Lisberger produces the new film, which is helmed by commercial director Joseph Kosinski. James Frain, Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, and Michael Sheen also star, with Bruce Boxleitner returning as Alan Bradley and Tron, the heroic protagonist of the original film. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi

TRON: Legacy is a visually dazzling sequel to the 1982 cult classic. The screenplay is clunky, the dialog is bad, and the acting is mediocre. However, the original score (by Daft Punk), sound, and visual effects are excellent. Just sit back, relax, and leave your brain at the door.
Being a child of the Star Wars generation, I was enamoured by anything that involved space or technology. So, needless to say, the moment I saw an ad for the original Tron as a child, I was interested. Then, however many years later we get Tron: Legacy; which is so great to see. It is really cool to see the modern advancements in cinematography gel with the Tron scene and plot. Very entertaining and enjoyable movie.
