Bear Grylls brings great knowledge and enthusiasm to a show about surviving situations that unlucky adventure seekers often find themselves caught up in. He survives off the land and carries no more than a water bottle, flint, and a knife. The camera crew can only interact in case of absolute life-threatening emergency for all those uniformed critics out there who don't really watch the show. Bear survives the Costa Rican Jungles, the Moab Desert, the Aussie Outback, the Scottish Highlands, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the African Plains, the Florida Everglades etc. The show is great fun and Bear Grylls is wonderful...A ++++++

This show is really cool. The guy get's dropped into places and he shows you how to survive. and I mean, he shows you (which is what impressed me the most). when in the alps and talking about getting out of a freezing lake, he doesn't just tell you how to do it, he intentionally breaks the ice, falls in, and then climbs out. when in the desert and talking about needing to keep your head/brain cool, he doesn't just tell you that you can urinate on a shirt and wrap it around your head, actually whips it out and does it right there! and he wraps it around his head and proceeds on. for the critics out there that claim it is bunk because there is a camera crew, get over it. just because someone is filming him, doesn't mean that he isn't doing what he is suppose to be doing: showing you how to survive in these places. this is a fun and informative tv show. give it a chance.
