In this horror chiller, an intriguing, beautiful woman (Sandra Knight) keeps re-appearing to early 19th-century Lt. Duvalier (Jack Nicholson), and he is led to a castle where he finds an imposter of Baron Von Leppe (Boris Karloff). He becomes trapped in the ancient castle and tries to make sense of the eerie situation.     I'm commenting on the comment... I bet the people at Blockbuster just pulled any copy of this disc they had and sent it too you... they have done this to me many times here before with other b-films.

    Although it features Jack Nicholson and Boris Karloff and is worth watching, this movie is NOT in enhanced widescreen. It is in Pan and Scan with the graininess that usually accompanies it. I am not reviewing the movie, only commenting on the error in listing.

    I remember seeing the end of this film as a child and having it gross me out. It's more of a murder mystery in the Hammer style. However, it is one of Roger Corman's first and better films. Dick Miller, Jack Nicholson, and Boris Korloff have never looked younger. Dick Miller is one of my favorites and is great in this small old gem. I thought it was funny however, that Jack is playing a French soldier with now accent whatsoever.
