Sure the actors were no name kids when this was made, but it has become a cult classic. It's one of the best traditional versions of Romeo and Juliet in film, and I predict will remain so for decades.

Very authentic, and I believe it's totally uncut, which is nice. This production is not expansive, like we're used to nowadays--it's closer to a staged play production (more like Shakespeare had in mind when he wrote it). It did feel sometimes stuffy and wooden. But, still, one of the most beautiful stories of all time!
