Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo joins forces with photographer and visual artist Leah Singer to create a kaleidoscopic art installment more than ten-years in the making in this release designed to push the boundaries of modern visual art. As Ranaldo's sounds and music fill the air, Singer manipulates her films to the music on two 16mm projectors - providing the visual equivalent of a DJ scratching records. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Yeah. I'm a VJ so I can even appreciate the artsy weird stuff. This is the absolute bottom of the barrel. Sorry guys. Don't bother renting it. I seriously fast forwarded through the whole thing hoping the split screen picture was a temporary thing - no such luck. I swear this movie is like watching 2 old school slide shows side by side with your high school teacher droning on and on about nothing interesting.
If I wanted to go back to high school, I'm sure I could go teach something and then I'd be the narrator of this movie. Wow. What an aspiration. Not that I have anything against high school teachers -- I had a few that really changed my life. This movie on the other hand, will only waste your life.
