A young girl named Rakka is born to a different life as a new being in Charcoal Feather Federation. The teenage girl awakens from a dream of falling downward to find herself surrounded by people with wings who care for her through her transformation into one of them. Now, with her head wreathed in a glowing halo and after sprouting perfectly gray wings from her back, Rakka looks the part of a child angel from a storybook. She soon finds that life in Guri, the town where her new winged kind live, is peaceful and serene, but even the stillness can't stifle the questions that remain: why do these people suddenly become new beings, and why must they live a segregated life from the rest of the world? ~ Cammila Collar, Rovi

This anime is a very calming show. Nothing much happens and some even could say it is boring. i loved listing to the background music. If you like action, this anime is not for you!

A sweet, gentle anime that mirrors the pace of Grave of the Fireflies with an inspirational line of subtle events. Thought it doesn't seem to have a plot going per se, the start of this charming anime is infact one to enjoy for those that appreciate refeshingly unique ideas and theme of ''angels''. The art is impressive and the voice over talents are nothing to laugh at. While softly enveloping in taking you along for a smooth drift through the daily events of everyday people in an everday town, the story seems to be one of those ''enjoy as you go'' animes. There's not really any action to speak of, and those that wish for loud, blaring music and ''on-edge-of-seat'' story lining, this isn't really for those people. But for those that can appreciate an anime that is taken for what it is with an interesting ''in the now'' storyline, I would gladly recommend it for them. Something good to cuddle up with a loved one over a cup of relaxing herbal tea.
