Movies Similar to The Thirteenth Guest (1932)

This is a cute movie to watch if your a mystery and/or old movies buff. With a less than selflessly heroic detective and a line up of high class suspects that put the fun into family dysfunction there are certainly some chuckles to be had. There are some things to remember about this movie though. First is that it was made in the 1930's this means that the characters, most notably the heroine, will be a reflection of that time. This also means that you will have 1930's effects and that this movie is in black and white. The second thing you should know is that this movie is moved by dialogue not action. This means you have to listen and pay attention or you'll miss most of the clues not to mention the jokes. You can't just walk in and out of it or try to do ten things at once while watching and still follow the plot, so make sure you have an uninterrupted evening when you can just sit back with some snacks and enjoy watching.

B movie with terrible sound and horrid effects. Only bright spot is Ginger Rogers' trying desperately to make something of her vapid character. Not worth watching
